PM Ciolacu: Romania attracted 2 billion euros from green bonds issuance

Romania has attracted, as a first, 2 billion euros from the issuance of green bonds, funds which can be used to finance projects such as sectors of the metro or fully electric railways, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu said.

“I understand from Minister Bolos that Romania has attracted, for the first time, 2 billion euros from the issuance of green bonds, money with which we can also finance projects such as metro sectors or fully electric railways,” said Marcel Ciolacu at the beginning of the Government meeting on Friday.

Also related to infrastructure, the Prime Minister announced as well that on Friday a contract will be signed for the works on a 30-kilometre sector of the A8 Unirii motorway.
