The Athens -Macedonian News Agency (AMNA) has a presence in the media sector that extends for more than a century.
It was founded on Jan. 1, 1905, when the privately owned Stefanopoli Telegraphic Agency was bought by the Greek state. Its first director was Ioannis Parren.
ANA merged with Macedonian Press Agency (MPA) in 2008 and subsequently formed the Athens- Macedonian News Agency (AMNA). Until then, the MPA, founded in 1991, had its central offices in Thessaloniki.
The AMNA produces, collects, edits and disseminates domestic and international news items and photographs, as well as radio and television material for distribution to media outlets in Greece, Cyprus, numerous third countries and the Greek diaspora.
The news agency’s information network features news desks in Brussels, Nicosia and Berlin, as well as correspondents in London, Rome, Paris, Skopje, Washington, Tirana, Belgrade and all major Greek cities. International and national news agencies like, Reuters, AP, AFP, DPA, EFE, ANSA and global information companies including Factiva, Bloomberg, Financial Times, etc. use ANA-MPA news items utilising the agency’s services on a daily basis.

Aimilios Perdikaris has several years of experience in a number of printed, electronic and online media.
Since January 2021, he is Chairman of the Board and General Manager at Athens/Macedonian News Agency (ANA-MPA) and earlier served as political correspondent.
He also has extensive experience as a communication and media advisor.
Aimilios Perdikaris was unanimously elected as President of ABNA-SE at the Burgas General Meeting in September 2022.Since January 2021, he has been vice-president of the Alliance of Mediterranean News Agencies (AMAN).
He studied Law, Political Communication and New Media (MA) and he specialized in Electoral Sociology (PhD cand.). He also speaks English and German fluently.

Born on February 25th, 1967. Studied Business at the Law School/University of Athens.
Serafeim Politis has several years of experience in a number of mainly printed media.
He has worked as an economic editor in several newspapers: Rizospastis (November 1990 to December 1994), Imerisia (January 1994 to April 1997), TA NEA (May 1997 to December 2002). In December 2002 he was promoted to Editor-in-chief at TA NEA newspaper, a position he held until August 2021.
In September 2021 he joined AMNA’s team as managing editor.
Fluent in English.
