Zagreb, 5 October 2026 (MIA) — Macedonian clarinetist Risto Gjorevski and pianist Elena Atanasovska Ivanovska will give a chamber recital Monday evening at the Macedonian Cultural and Information Center in Zagreb, following the opening of a solo exhibition of selected intaglio prints by Evgenij Pantev.
Titled “The Discipline of a Trace Cut Short,” Pantev’s art show is a unique chance for Croatian art lovers to get acquainted with contemporary Macedonian visual art, organizers said.
Gjorevski and Atanasovska Ivanovska’s recital will feature works for clarinet and piano by international and Macedonian classical composers, with a nod to Macedonian folklore and ethnomusical heritage.
Evgenij Pantev has a master’s degree in printmaking from the Ss. Cyril and Methodius state university’s Faculty of Fine Arts in Skopje. An expert in drypoint etching, he has held many of his own art shows and has been part of over 100 group print exhibitions in dozens of countries, including Canada, Egypt and France.
Elena Atanasovska Ivanovska heads the Piano Department at the Faculty of Music Arts, judges national piano competitions and performs both as a soloist and a chamber musician. As a well-known duo with fellow Macedonian pianist Marija Gjoshevska, she often performs complex works for two pianos.
Risto Gjorevski has a master’s degree from the Faculty of Music Arts and completed his postgraduate studies at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in 2018. He regularly performs with the Macedonian Opera and Ballet orchestra and has played with many ensembles around the word.
The event is part of the Zagreb Macedonian Cultural and Information Center’s annual program, organized with support from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
