Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to preliminary data from Monstat, Montenegro recorded 264,480 tourist arrivals and 1.13 million overnight stays in collective accommodation in August.
“Foreign tourists accounted for 91.4 percent of all overnight stays in collective accommodation, while domestic tourists accounted for 8.6 percent,” Monstat said in a press release.
The largest share of overnight stays in August, by type of tourist destination, was recorded in coastal resorts, at 92.1 percent, followed by the capital with 3.6 percent, mountain resorts with 2.8 percent, and other destinations with 1.5 percent.
Collective accommodation establishments include hotels, guesthouses, motels, tourist resorts, holiday resorts, hostels and campsites. They do not include individual, so-called private accommodation in houses and rooms for rent, as well as tourist apartments.
