Legislative amendments planned for the next spring, ahead of the tourist season

According to Prime Minister Milojko Spajic, the Government aims to create a stimulating and predictable business environment that will enable entrepreneurs and investors to plan more efficiently and lay a solid foundation for further growth.

He met with Chairman of the Board of Directors of Azmont Rashad Aliyev and Chairman Orascom Group Nagib Sawiris to discuss the business environment in Montenegro and the possibilities for establishing closer cooperation.

Spajic presented the current opportunities and the Government’s plans regarding the implementation of the development agenda, saying that it involved legislative amendments and a rapid development of infrastructure and transportation.

“We would like to to create a stimulating and predictable business environment that will enable entrepreneurs and investors to better plan and lay solid foundations for further growth,” said Spajic.

In his words, providing more business opportunities is a secure path toward creating added value for Montenegro and its citizens.

“Therefore, we are planning to amend a set of laws by next spring in preparation for the tourist season,” announced Spajic.

According to a press release issued by the Government, Azmont representatives congratulated Spajic on the establishment of the 44th Government and expressed their commitment to expanding their business.

“I am confident that we will succeed in improving the business and tourism environment in Montenegro through close cooperation and mutual understanding,” said Aliyev.

Sawiris stated that an exciting decade was ahead of Montenegro, during which the country could position itself globally as a top-tier tourist destination.
