Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The average net salary in Montenegro amounted to €851 in July, up 1.6 percent from June.
According to the Statistical Office, the average net salary increased by 6.8 percent in July, compared to the last year’s corresponding period.
The average gross salary amounted to €1,070 in July.
Given that, compared with June, the consumer prices increased by 0.4 percent in July, the real wages in Montenegro increased by 1.2 percent in this period,” stated a press release issued by Monstat.
In July, average net salaries increased in the field of education, transport and warehousing, water supply, wastewater management, accommodation and food services, art, entertainment and recreation, information and communications, civil engineering, financial and insurance services, healthcare and social welfare, other services, processing industry, real estate, administrative and supporting services, wholesale and retail trade, maintenance of motor vehicles and motorcycles, agriculture, forestry and fisheries.
On the other hand, the wages decreased in this period in the field of electricity and gas supply and air conditioning, public administration and defence, mandatory social insurance, mining and quarrying, and professional, scientific and technical activities.
