According to the National Tourist Organization (NTO), approximately 15,000 tourists from China have visited Montenegro since the beginning of the year, four times more than last year.
Milena Vujovic of the NTO told Mediabiro that, according to preliminary data from Monstat, approximately 15,000 tourists from the Chinese market visited Montenegro by 31 July.
She added that they had spent around 30,000 nights in Montenegro in that period.
“This means that we have seen a significant growth. We had approximately four times more arrivals from this market compared to the previous year, while in terms of overnight stays, we reached a level of around 70 percent compared to 2019,” stated Vujovic.
She stated that Montenegro was back on the White List of recommended destinations for Chinese citizens, confirming that it was slowly returning to that market after the pandemic.
