Today It’s All About Jazz festival will move from Ibni Pajko Park to the Philharmonic Hall due to rain, organizers said ahead of the Thursday evening concerts.
According to the National Jazz Orchestra, all scheduled performances will proceed as planned at the indoor venue. Admission remains free.
The festival lineup begins at 4 pm and features both local and international artists, including Peach Vice Jazz, Next to Silence, Arnau Garrofé, Frantik Zen, Leb i sol and the National Jazz Orchestra featuring Dane Alderson.
The event follows an educational “Jazz for Kids” workshop held Wednesday in Frederic Chopin Park. The workshop, a collaboration with the Municipality of Kisela Voda, introduced students to the genre through dance and improvisation.
International Jazz Day is celebrated annually on April 30 to highlight jazz as a universal language of peace, freedom and dialogue. It was established by UNESCO in 2011 on the initiative of pianist and Goodwill Ambassador Herbie Hancock and is observed in more than 190 countries.
