The conclusions of the “All-Serb Assembly” are considered contradictory and paradoxical

The “All-Serb Assembly” and the statement that came out of this meeting held on Saturday in Belgrade are considered contradictory and paradoxical. In this statement it is stated that Kosovo is an inalienable part of Serbia, for which political analysts consider that Kosovo has already been de-facto recognized. Saturday’s meeting is also estimated to aim at the creation of a greater Serbia, where the north of Kosovo is included.

The declaration for the protection of national and political rights and for a common future of the Serbian people was approved on Saturday by Serbia and the Serbian entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republika Srpska. The declaration was approved in Belgrade at a meeting between the two governments, within the so-called “All-Serb Assembly”.

The political analyst from Albania, Ben Andoni, says that attention should not be paid to Serbia and that the signing of this declaration is an expected action.

“This was a long-awaited action by Serbia, the first to show the position of the entire Serbian world that they have already revealed as an ideology, but also to pave the way for the future of their ideology. It is understood that they are in great difficulties because Montenegro is a NATO country, Kosovo is supervised by NATO, the only weak link is Bosnia-Herzegovina’s declaration of Republika Srpska. In a way, Serbia has simply gained time to show that they already have an ideological approach to pre-Slavism. If you ask me about the work of Kosovo at this moment, I would say that Kosovo should be indifferent. The first is that Kosovo is a reality and Serbia has de-facto recognized Kosovo, even this is one of the biggest criticisms of the Serbian opposition to Mr. Vucic that with the decisions he has taken he has de-facto recognized Kosovo”, he declares.

The Serbian analyst, Branislav Kërstic, declares that Serbia lost Kosovo from the moment when, 25 years ago, the NATO commanders gave half an hour to the Serbian police and army officers to leave Kosovo.

“If we talk about the statement according to which Kosovo is part of Serbia, it seems to me to be contradictory and paradoxical, because according to the Ohrid annex, Vucic has de jure accepted the independence of Kosovo. On the other hand, if we talk about a possible concern in the region, this is irrelevant, because the Serbian community understands that this is only for internal political interests. We know that in Belgrade, there are still very serious pro-radical, pro-Serbian, pro-patriotic groups, which are controlled by Aleksandar Vucic. And it seems to me that this was the message of this meeting… Within the Serbian community, no one believes that Vucic is protecting the interests of the Serbian community in the Balkans. We know that he is doing things that are against the national interests and in this regard I am sure that nobody in Kosovo has reason to be worried. It was a statement for internal use, for the electorate which probably is controlled by that man, and in the end all this is explained in just two words, game show… Russia does not have a finger here, because it seems to me that this is the biggest historical lie in the Balkans, the trust and the political connection with Russia”, Kërstic emphasizes for KosovaPress.

Meanwhile, political analyst Arbnor Sadiku considers that the Albanian political scene in the Balkans is divided.

“Albanians should always keep their eyes open, in the sense that not only that gathering that was organized by the president of Serbia, Vucic and supported by Dodik as the head of the Bosnian Serbs, it is known that the Serbs aim to create a greater Serbia, where the north of Kosovo is included, and of course we must be aware that we are not coordinated in any way. The very fact that the Serbs are seen to already have a full coordination among themselves for their national agenda, it seems that the Albanians are uncoordinated due to the fact that we do not have a meeting between the two Albanian prime ministers, we even have a refusal to meet with the leaders of the Macedonian Albanians, Mr. Ali Ahmeti. As you can see, the Albanian political scene in the Balkans is divided, while the Serbian one is unified and completely controlled by President Vucic”, he emphasizes.

The US Embassy in Sarajeva also reacted to the conclusions adopted in the so-called “All-Serb Assembly” in Belgrade, describing these conclusions as an attack on the Dayton Peace Agreement and the state institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“The conclusions do not represent a defense of the Dayton Peace Agreement, as the authors claim, but are a deliberate attack on that agreement and the state institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” the statement said.

The US Embassy notes that the “Conclusions of the All-Serb Assembly”, which refer to the Dayton Peace Agreement and the independent state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, are rooted in legal disinformation and full of errors.

“The public statements of the officials of the Republika Srpska (RS), especially the president of the RS Milorad Dodik and the chairman of the National Assembly of the RS Nenad Stevandic, regarding the conclusions and plans for the ‘separation’ of the RS, (which is) another name for secession, present an attack on Dayton and on the territorial integrity, sovereignty and multi-ethnic character of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” the statement continued.

Landslide in the Elbasan-Qafa Thane axis, call to the leaders for increased caution The American Embassy said that the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Constitution expressly state that BaH (Bosnia and Herzegovina) is the successor state of the Republic of BaH with its internal structure, modified, in order to consist of two entities.

“Neither Dayton nor the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina gives entities or any other sub-state bodies the right to secede or any other clumsy synonym for secession invented by RS officials” the embassy stated.

The American Embassy in Sarajeva said that Republika Srpska is not a state and that it can only exist within Bosnia-Herzegovina.

“It (Republic of Serbia) has no legal personality outside BaH. Dodik’s plans and actions endanger the peaceful, democratic and prosperous future in the Euro-Atlantic institutions that the citizens of Bosnia-Herzegovina, including the residents of the RS, want and deserve,” concluded the American embassy.

After signing this statement, the opposition parties in Kosovo also reacted, saying that it is a bomb that can explode at any time.

The Democratic League of Kosovo, through a reaction on Sunday, has called on international partners to take seriously Belgrade’s efforts to undermine the neighborhood between the states of the region.

“We invite the friends of Kosovo, who have given a lot for its freedom, to take seriously these efforts of the official Belgrade to undermine the neighborhood between the states in the region and defunctionalize the political achievements in favor of democracy in these last 30 years. Yesterday’s alarm in Belgrade, for those of us who know their continuous fascist explosions, is like a bomb that can explode at any moment!” said the Democratic League of Kosovo.

The MP of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Hisen Berisha, also reacted to this meeting, saying that it is a direct provocation to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Kosovo.

“This situation requires an immediate and strong response from the international community. International bodies, such as the EU, USA and NATO, should condemn this statement and put pressure on Serbia and Republika Srpska to respect the internationally recognized borders and not to interfere in the internal affairs of Kosovo. The need for an international response is urgent to ensure that peace and stability are not put at risk and to guarantee that the territorial integrity of Kosovo is fully respected,” he wrote.

Such statements, even according to Besnik Tahiri of AAK, contradict Western calls for normality in the Western Balkans.

“The declaration of the so-called “All-Serb Assembly” where it is mentioned that Kosovo “is an inalienable part of Serbia”, proves the Milosevic mentality, which resulted in several wars in the Balkans, genocide in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo. Such statements also contradict Western calls for normality in the Western Balkans and the Dayton Agreement,” said Tahiri.

The “All-Serbian” meeting in the Balkans held on Saturday in Belgrade, where, in addition to Aleksandar Vucic, Milorad Dodik and Serbian representatives of Serbia, representatives of Serbs from Kosovo, Montenegro and North Macedonia also participated. There was adopted the declaration for the protection of national and political rights for the common future of the Serbian people. This declaration, which essentially tries to sideline international organizations, consists of 49 points, in which, among other things, it is said that the Serbian people represent a unique entity, that the name of the nation is one and that it is impossible to change.

The approved declaration talks about Kosovo, which is said to be an inalienable part of Serbia, then the obligation to respect resolution 1244, but also about dialogue as an essential way to solve the problem between Kosovo and Serbia.
