Symposium on cooperation in field of E-health, a Romanian-Belgian perspective, organized in Brussels
The Embassy of Romania in the Kingdom of Belgium, together with the World Health Organization (WHO), with the support of the European Network for Smoking Prevention (ENSP), will organize the Symposium on cooperation in the field of E-health, in Brussels, on April 10-11.
The event is part of the Embassy’s efforts to promote medical diplomacy, based on an initiative launched in 2022, states the diplomatic institution. Within it, a series of events were organized to ensure an exchange of experience and good practices in the medical field, with an emphasis on innovative techniques for prevention and treatment. Also, the Platform of Romanian doctors in Belgium was established.
The April 2024 event is dedicated to the impact of technological developments on medicine. The participants will be able to have an overview of the relevant policies and programs in the field of digitization of medicine and the use of artificial intelligence for the prevention of diseases and the provision of effective treatments. As part of the event, we also plan to visit some centers of excellence in the medical and technological field in Belgium.
A prestigious participation is announced at the symposium. Apart from the organisers (Embassy of Romania in the Kingdom of Belgium, WHO, ENSP), attendance is expected from the Belgian Ministry of Health, the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the European Commission, the Romanian Ministry of Health, the Presidency of Romania, the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies, as well as rectors and vice-rectors of universities and medical faculties in Romania (Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi, Timisoara, Craiova), of renowned Romanian doctors, medical specialists and pharmacists working in Belgium.
