Strumica, 29 May 2025 (MIA) — The 15th Festival of Old Town Music will be held Thursday in Strumica featuring a program of serenades “Under the Strumica Towers,” MIA’s Strumica correspondent reports.

According to organizers, participants include vocal and instrumental groups and choirs singing old town songs from Strumica, Gevgelija, Shtip, Valandovo, Radovish and Prilep.

In addition to two local ensembles, The Singing Strumichans and the newly formed Strumica Octet, performers include The Singing Gevgelichans, Ornaments from Shtip, The Singing Valandovchans, The Singing Radovishans, the Prilep Octet and The Schipyans from Shtip.

Strumica folk song and dance ensemble Boro Dzhoni will also take part, performing their originally choreographed dances, organizers said.

The festival is organized by Strumica’s Anton Panov Culture Center with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Municipality of Strumica.
