Podgorica, (MINA) – The Ministry of the Interior (MUP) monitors areas at risk with drones and takes preventive actions to prevent new fires, Minister of the Interior Danilo Saranovic said.
As announced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Saranovic and his associates visited the location in Pricelje near Podgorica on Monday, where drones of the Rescue and Protection Directorate and the Police Administration were conducting intensive aerial surveillance to detect fires and suspicious persons.
“In accordance with the risk assessment and operational information available to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, special attention was focused on locations potentially at risk in the area of Podgorica and Danilovgrad”, the press release said.
Saranovic said during the visit that the Ministry of Internal Affairs increased aerial surveillance, and urged citizens not to light fires in the open.
