SARAJEVO, November 8 (FENA) – The booking platform Skyscanner has released a list of destinations offering the most cost-effective flights and the best value for money, with Sarajevo ranked at the top. The prestigious British magazine ‘Time Out’ also cited ‘Sarajevo as the unusual capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, full of bridges, and the most affordable destination to fly to.

In comparison to the period from January to June 2023, flight prices to Sarajevo in 2024 have dropped by 45 percent, making it highly recommended to add Sarajevo to your list of destinations to visit in 2025, as the article suggests.

Considering the fact that Sarajevo was recently named the best destination for 2025 by readers of ‘National Geographic Travel’, affordable flights are certain to further motivate tourists to visit next year, stated the Sarajevo Canton Tourism Board.

Numerous new destinations and low-cost flights from Sarajevo International Airport are the result of public calls, incentives, and development measures for air traffic, which have been carried out by the Tourism Board and the Government of Sarajevo Canton, in collaboration with the airport. These efforts will continue into the next year.

As a result, in addition to 23 new destinations with direct connections, Sarajevo Canton has seen a 20 percent increase in tourist traffic, an 8.6 percent rise in tourism revenue, and has earned well-deserved awards and recognitions as the best global destination.
