Italy has deported to Moldova a rapper who was at the helm of gang of dozens of young people on scooters who briefly blocked traffic on a highway in the Milan area 10 days ago in a stunt for a video, Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi has said The 31-year trap artist Bratan, whose real name is Nicolae Novacenco and had been living in Italy since 2009, posted the video on social media after a drone was used to record the stunt.
“Motorists’ lives were put at risk,” Piantedosi said on Sunday.
“So, he is a social danger and his residence permit must be revoked.” Bratan’s lawyer said the expulsion was excessive and will appeal to the Lombardy regional administrative court.
The rapper has a small child with his partner in Italy.
