Gov’t to purchase nine CT simulators for hospitals

ZAGREB, 16 May (Hina) – The caretaker government on Thursday adopted a decision on the procurement of CT simulators for hospitals to improve cancer prevention, treatment and diagnostics and secure optimal therapy for patients.

The project is being implemented by the Health Ministry under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and its value is €6.5 million. Nine CT simulators will be purchased for the KBC Zagreb and KBC Sisters of Charity hospitals in Zagreb, the clinical hospital centers in Split, Rijeka and Osijek, and the Zadar General Hospital.

The equipment will be delivered to the hospitals in the next 12 months, and money for it has been secured under the 2024 budget and budget projections for 2025 and 2026.

The government today also accepted sponsorship over a high-level UNESCO conference on creating a network of global regulators for the management of digital platforms to prevent hate speech, to be held in Dubrovnik on 18-19 June.
