Since 1 January, the Airports of Montenegro have seen two million passengers.

Deputy Executive Director of the Airports of Montenegro Petar Radulovic said that such a result was expected considering that Podgorica had been connected with up to 40 destinations, and Tivat with up to 39 destinations during August.

According to a press release issued by the company, he said that Podgorica airport had seen 1.28 million and Tivat airport 730,720 passengers this year.

“That is 34 percent more compared to last year, or around 92 percent of the result achieved in 2019,” said Radulovic.

According to him, it is important to highlight the success of Podgorica Airport, which saw a 35 percent year-on-year increase in the number of passengers last year, and 28 percent more passengers than in 2019.

“The results achieved by Tivat airport are 32 percent better than last year and at 61 percent of the ones achieved in 2019,” said Radulovic.
