Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Compared with last year’s corresponding period, the prices of industrial products increased by 1.7 percent in the first quarter.

According to official statistics, the mining and quarrying sector grew by 6.1 percent, while the processing industry saw a 0.6 percent year-on-year increase.

“The prices in the electricity and gas supply and air conditioning sector remained at the same level on average as in Q1 2023,” stated a press release issued by MONSTAT.

Compared with the last year’s fourth quarter, the prices of industrial products increased by 1.4 percent in the first quarter.

The mining and quarrying sector saw a 5.6 percent increase compared with Q4 2023, while the processing industry grew by 0.3 percent.

“In the electricity and gas supply and air conditioning sector, the prices remained at the same level on average as in last year’s fourth quarter,” stated the press release.
