TIRANA, April 23/ATA/ Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Business Climate Delina Ibrahimaj announced today launch of the pilot project for FasterPay in three cities of the country: Tirana, Përmet and Dibra.
Ibrahimaj said that the pilot project for FasterPay is a step of transformation for financial services in the Albanian economy.
Through a video message, the minister informed that, “In the 3 selected cities, 300 individuals will be part of the pilot scheme, who will make payments through applications offered by banks and electronic money, in small and medium-sized businesses, near the areas where they live”.
“Funded by the Albanian government, for a period of 4 months, the selected citizens will use FasterPay through their phone, by scanning their QR code generated by the fiscalization system”, said Ibrahimaj.
She announced that the individuals involved in this pilot project may be of different ages and commitments, who will try and benefit from the convenience of this fast payment process.
“Whether you’re a business owner paying for supplies, a citizen receiving a pension, a family member supported by the loved ones living abroad, or a student managing budgets, FasterPay will enable your transactions to be faster , safer and less expensive”, said Ibrahimaj.
The minister emphasized that, in the following months, there will be published details of the process and various events from the implementation of the pilot project of fast payments
