According to preliminary statistics released by Monstat, there were 227,770 tourist arrivals in the collective accommodation in Montenegro and 1.01 million overnight stays in July.
“Out of the total number of nights spent in the collective accommodation, foreign tourists accounted for 90.7 percent and domestic ones for 9.3 percent,” states a press release issued by Monstat.
In July, 91.8 percent of the total number of nights were spent in the coastal region, 4.6 percent in the Capital City, two percent in the mountain regions, and 1.6 percent in other tourist destinations in Montenegro.
Collective accommodation does not include the individual, so-called private accommodation in houses, rooms and apartments.
It includes hotels, resorts, inns, motels, holiday centres, hostels and camps.
