Judges to be appointed at some of next Council sessions

Podgorica, (MINA) – The Judicial Council will carry out the appointments of 11 candidates for basic courts judges, who have successfully completed the initial training, at one of its next sessions, the Council announced.

The Human Rights Action (HRA) announced earlier that even after 100 days, the Judicial Council did not appoint as judges 11 candidates who successfully completed the initial training.

The Judicial Council stated that at the session on April 18, the grades for 11 candidates for judges of basic courts were determined.

“At the same session, it was decided that the decisions on their appointment would be made at one of the next sessions of the Council”, the press release says.

They add that in the first six months of the current year alone, the Council appointed 43 judges, presidents of courts and candidates for judges.
