Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Minister of Mining, Oil, and Gas Admir Sahmanovic, has stated that it is necessary to work on legal provisions that will create a favourable business environment while making sure that the interests of the state and local communities are protected.
He met with President of the Chamber of Commerce (PKCG) Nina Drakic to discuss possible models and concrete steps to enhance cooperation between the Ministry and the business sector, especially in the areas of mining and petroleum products.
“They underlined the importance of active collaboration in the process of amending the Mining Law, taking into account the timely involvement of the business community to ensure greater benefits for citizens and society as a whole,” stated a press release issued by the Ministry.
Drakic highlighted the previous successful cooperation on drafting the Law on Security of Supply of Petroleum Products as a good example.
Sahmanovic presented the Ministry’s activities and work plan for the upcoming period, including the harmonization of national legislation with European regulations and introducing new legal provisions related to petroleum reserves and fuel marking.
