TIRANA, March 4 /ATA/ – Two iconic buildings in Tirana illuminated in the white, green and red colors of the Bulgarian national flag on the Bulgarian National Day of March 3 on Monday.
The Tirana University Rectorate and the Polytechnic University shone in the colors of the Bulgarian flag in the Albanian capital this year, becoming symbolic bridges between the two nations.
The initiative was supported by the Municipality of Tirana in a show of support and solidarity to the Bulgarian community and culture of the friendly country.
Illumination of the two iconic buildings is not just a beautiful gesture, but also an expression of the deep friendship and growing cooperation between Bulgaria and Albania.
Such initiatives are an important element in strengthening bilateral ties, contributing to mutual recognition and respect between the two nations.
Launched four years ago, the event has already become a tradition lauded by both Albania’s Bulgarian community and Tirana residents, highlighting the importance of cultural exchange in the Balkan region.
