EU High Representative and Commission’s Vice President, Kaja Kallas, is scheduled to visit Cyprus on Wednesday, November 5, ahead of the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the EU, which is due to kickstart on January 1st, 2026.
Spokesperson for the European External Action Service (EEAS), Anitta Hipper, confirmed to CNA that HRVP Kallas will carry out this visit in the context of the upcoming Presidency, but also as part of the engagement on key issues, such as the situation in Gaza, Ukraine and the support provided to Kiev.
The European Commission has not yet published the meeting’s agenda, but CNA has learned that the HRVP will meet during her visit with the President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Constantinos Kombos, and the Deputy Minister for European Affairs, Marilena Raouna, on Wednesday afternoon in Nicosia.
According to the spokesperson, more information on the meeting agenda will be published in due time.
