Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The President of Montenegrin, Jakov Milatovic, has said that economic cooperation between Montenegro and Slovenia is significant, but there is great potential for even closer collaboration in the field of trade, tourism, and investments.
He added that excellent bilateral relations between the two countries should be further strengthened with even more dynamic economic cooperation.
Speaking at the Montenegro – Slovenia business forum, which he opened with the President of Slovenia, Natasa Pirc Musar, Milatovic highlighted the importance of business cooperation with Slovenian companies, noting that they had been among the first to invest in Montenegro as an independent country, particularly in the banking and insurance sectors.
He also reminded that Slovenian companies participated in the development of one of the most important infrastructure projects – the Sozina tunnel, adding that they had established high standards and significantly contributed to the development of our tourism sector.
Milatovic said that Slovenia was the best example to follow through dedicated work, strengthening institutions, and investing in knowledge.
According to him, the event, organized by the Chamber of Commerce (PKCG), lays the foundation for strengthening cooperation between the two countries and their future intensive collaboration in the field of economy.
