Defence Min Dendias: Agenda 2030 envisions a modern system to address challenges

Minister of National Defence Nikos Dendias stressed that the “Agenda 2030” provides for a modern system to meet the challenges and a modern and strong Navy. “The most modern and the most powerful in the history of our country,” he said.

Dendias represented the Prime Minister at the Hellenic Naval Academy where the celebration of the patron saint of the Navy, St. Nicholas, and the anniversary of the victorious battles of the Balkan Wars of 1912-13 took place.

“In order to defend its sovereignty and sovereign rights, Greece will proceed, in the framework of the ‘Agenda 2030’, to the creation of a missile wall to protect the Aegean,” Dendias said, adding that this is a wall which “will be able to flexibly and from the very many islands we have, which will in fact be converted into power units, to prevent, to prevent any thought or attempt to overthrow the regime in the Aegean,” Dendias said.
