Cypriot products such as halloumi, commandaria and zivania were showcased at the specialised exhibition “Regal Branchentreff 2023”, which took place in Vienna recently.
In a press release on Wednesday the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry said it participated in the exhibition with a stand in cooperation with the Trade Centre of the Republic of Cyprus in Vienna.
It is noted that in the context of Cyprus’ participation in the exhibition, Cypriot products such as halloumi, commandaria and zivania, as well as native varieties of Cypriot wines (Xynisteri and Maratheftiko) were displayed. Specifically, as stated in the press release, “a tasting of Cypriot products was held, with halloumi being the highlight, which was offered to the attendees in various ways of serving in fresh form and in combination with dry and fresh fruits and vegetables (such as grapes, figs, watermelon, cherry tomatoes etc.)”.
It is underlined that “the results of Cyprus’ participation in the exhibition “Regal Branchentreff 2023″ are considered positive due to the large number of visitors to the Cypriot stand, but also in general the interest in Cypriot products.”
“With the aim of promoting the export of Cypriot products, the companies participating in the stand had the opportunity to make contacts with foreign traders,” the press release concludes.
