ZAGREB, 7 Feb (Hina) – The value of Croatia’s commodity exports in 2024 reached €23.9 billion, which is an increase of 4.6% compared with 2023, while imports rose by 5.4% to €41.8 billion, according to initial data from the National Bureau of Statistics (DZS), published on Friday.
The foreign trade deficit was €17.8В billion as against €16.6 billion in 2023, and the coverage of imports by exports was 57.3% as against 57.8% in 2023.
In 2024, Croatia’s exports to EU member states amounted to €15.6 billion, up 0.4% from 2023, while imports from the EU rose by 7% to €32.6В billion.
Exports to non-EU countries increased by 13.4% to €8.3 billion, while imports fell by 0.2% to nearly €9.2В billion.
