IOM donates technical equipment to Border Police Sector

Podgorica, (MINA) – The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has donated technical equipment to the Police Administration to improve border security and fight all forms of cross-border crime.

According to the press release from the Police Administration, the equipment valued at EUR 23.200, is intended for the Border Police Sector, and was donated within the project “Western Balkans integrated border management capacity building facility” financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark and implemented by the IOM.

The donation was handed over to Border Police Sector Acting Assistant Director Dejan Bojic by Chief of the IOM Mission in Montenegro, Vladimir Gjorgjiev.

During the signing ceremony, Gjorjiev emphasized that the donation represents IOM’s continuous support to Montenegro in strengthening capacities of the border police in line with European standards.

Bojic thanked for the valuable donation, which, as he said, will significantly enhance the daily operations of the Police Administration officers.
