Next week, the Croatian army will build a temporary bridge in the flood-hit Slovenian town of Lacja Vas, Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic announced at the Bled Strategic Forum on Monday.
Before the gathering in the Slovenian lakeside resort of Bled, Plenković met with his Slovenian counterpart Robert Golob, extending his condolences for the loss of life and offering assistance in the reconstruction of the country after a heavy storm and floods hit Slovenia in early August, leaving six people killed and 10,000 homes destroyed.
Plenkovic said that the Croatian military would build a so-called launch bridge in LaДЌja Vas, northeast of Ljubljana. “In this way Croatia is assisting Slovenia in a very concrete manner after this major flooding.”
