Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System (CEDIS) contributes to the development of tourism in Montenegro by adapting its activities to the needs of municipalities preparing for the summer tourist season.
According to a press release issued by CEDIS, one of the prerequisites for improving the business environment of the tourism and hospitality industry is the maintenance and development of energy infrastructure in municipalities involved in tourism.
“The maintenance plan for this year prioritizes activities related to the maintenance of power facilities operating at the 35-kilovolt (kV) voltage level in the coastal municipalities in the first and second quarter,” the press release reads.
CEDIS said that these activities included inspections, testing, auditing and repairing of equipment, protective and signalling devices.
The company emphasized that, despite all the activities in preventive maintenance, unforeseen events that could cause disruptions in the system and power outages could not be predicted.
