Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Minister of Finance Aleksandar Damjanovic and Executive Director of Jugopetrol Vasileios Panagopoulos have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, making the first step in enhancing cooperation and expressing mutual commitment to achieving shared business goals.

According to a press release issued on this occasion, the Memorandum envisages that Jugopetrol will launch the project of ecological reconstruction of its facilities located the Port of Bar, in cooperation with relevant public institutions.

The press release states that the project will focus on alignment of its operations with the highest environmental protection standards and promotion socially responsible and more efficient practices.

Damjanovic expressed his satisfaction with the readiness of the Ministry and the company to finally resolve long-standing open issues regarding property relations with Jugopetrol to their mutual benefit, in order to maximize the value of available assets in the best possible way.

Panagopoulos said that he was ready to expedite the procedures that had started a long time ago between the government and his company on the basis of a partnership and thanked Damjanovic for reiterating the previous proposals for cooperation.
