The average net salary in Montenegro amounted to €800 in September, up 0.1 percent on August.
According to the Statistical Office, the average net salary increased by 11.4 percent compared to the last year’s corresponding period.
The average gross salary amounted to €998 in September.
“Given that, compared with August, the consumer prices increased by 0.8 percent in September, the real wages in Montenegro decreased by 0.7 percent in this period,” stated a press release issued by Monstat.
In September, average net salaries increased in the field of professional, scientific and technical activities, processing industry, art, entertainment and recreation, real estate, financial and insurance services, accommodation and food services, other services, agriculture, forestry and fisheries, information and communications, electricity and gas supply, and air conditioning.
On the other hand, the wages decreased in this period in the field of civil engineering, water supply and wastewater management, administrative and supporting services, healthcare and social welfare, mining and quarrying, public administration and defense, mandatory social insurance, wholesale and retail, maintenance of motor vehicles and motorcycles, transport and warehousing, and education.
