TIRANA, February 8 /ATA/ The Albanian medicinal plant business will participate in the “BIOFACH 2024” fair in Germany on February 13-16, 2024.

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Anila Denaj wrote in the social media that, “The BIOBES company in Sopëz, Lushnja, will be part of the Albanian stand at this fair”.

The BIOBES has been developing the activity of collection, processing and packaging of aromatic and medicinal plants for more than 10 years. It employs about 450 farmer families to collect plants such as juniper, sage, calendula, etc., which are in high demand in the markets of Europe, the United States of America and East Asia, where the company exports about 1,000 tons per year.

They have the organic production on focus and all the plants they sell are certified according to the European Organic Standard.

“We are committed to promote local products in export markets, to open new markets and to bring higher value to farmers and processors,” said Denaj.
