Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The national carrier Air Montenegro has become a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

In addition to 306 airline companies, travel agencies involved in the sale of airline tickets are also IATA members.

“Air Montenegro has been assigned a two-letter code, known as a designator code, with the company code 4O and a three-digit code 400, which will be used to label airline tickets,” states a press release issued by the company.

According to Air Montenegro, IATA membership is of great importance for the national carrier, as it enhances commercial cooperation with other airlines, facilitating the conclusion of code share agreements and other international-level agreements.

“Air Montenegro remains committed to continuously improving its operations, applying the highest aviation standards, with passenger safety and service quality being its top priorities,” states the press release.
