The International Medical Tourism Conference will be opened on Saturday at the Splendid Conference & Spa Resort in Budva.

The two-day conference and the first training in medical tourism management are organized by the Medical SPA Association of Montenegro in cooperation with the Medical Tourism Cluster of Montenegro and the Montenegrin Health Tourism Centre.

“The purpose of this year’s conference is to bring together reputable domestic and foreign experts, practitioners, and consultants from the fields of medicine and tourism, as well as representatives of the hotel and wellness industry. Together, they will strive to address key questions about the stages of development of medical, wellness, and spa tourism in Montenegro and the region, as well as the prospects of this specific form of tourism product,” stated a press release issued by the organizers.

As the first organization established for the development and promotion of medical tourism, the Health Tourism Cluster of Montenegro will carry out a comprehensive training programme focusing on medical tourism management within the conference through its Health Tourism Centre.

This initiative aims to establish a pool of skilled professionals who will be future leaders in medical tourism.
