Zagreb University joins CDIO

ZAGREB, 9 July (Hina) – The University of Zagreb has joined the Conceive – Design – Implement – Operate (CDIO) world initiative for the education of future engineers.
Zagreb University became a full member at the 19th international CDIO conference in Trondheim, which took place on 26-29 June.
Also, the Borongaj campus and its Science and Technology Park will be a CDIO model incubator at the University of Zagreb.
CDIO selects students who can conceive, design, implement and operate complex engineering products and processes in a team environment.
The initiative has three goals: mastering the necessary technical knowhow, taking a lead role in developing new products, processes and systems, and understanding the importance and strategic impact of research and technological development for society as a whole.
CDIO has over 100 members from various institutions, from internationally renowned universities dedicated to research to schools for engineers who can apply their skills to the development of economically, ecologically and socially acceptable solutions. CDIO also facilitates cooperation with other institutions and universities.
