ZAGREB, 25 Sept (Hina) – More than 250 exhibitors from Croatia and abroad are taking part in the 29th Osijek Autumn Fair, which opened on Friday and runs until 27 September, showcasing products and services related to agriculture, food, construction and trades.
The exhibitors are from Croatia, Hungary, Slovenia and Slovakia. The main themes are agriculture, food, trades and equipment for interior and exterior design, while the fair also features exhibitions of women’s and veterans’ entrepreneurship. The event is organised by Osijek-Baranja County and its Economic Centre.
Agriculture State Secretary Tugomir Majdak said the number of exhibitors was steadily growing, with a particular focus on agriculture, food, agricultural machinery and modern farming technology. He said fairs provided opportunities for business meetings and the presentation of local products, particularly in Osijek-Baranja County, a leading Croatian region in crop and livestock production.
County Prefect Nataša Tramišak said the Autumn Fair had gained international recognition and was one of the county’s largest and most visited trade fairs. The county fully funds participation and presentations of women’s and veterans’ businesses, while a separate women’s entrepreneurship fair will be held next March.
Tramišak also announced that project documentation for new buildings at the county’s Economic Centre would be presented soon.
Economic Centre director Ivana Rešetar said the Autumn Fair was the county’s longest-running and best-known fair, with some exhibitors having taken part since its inception, demonstrating its tradition, continuity and value to exhibitors.
