ZAGREB, 15 June (Hina) – A first-of-its-kind meeting bringing together young Croatians who have returned from living, studying or working abroad will be held in Zagreb on 25 June, aiming to strengthen networking and highlight the challenges of reintegration.

Organised by the Youth for the Homeland association, the event will gather returnees, civil society representatives and government officials at Matis Absolute Lounge for a panel discussion titled “Here I am – is there still room? From personal stories to joint solutions for the future of Croatian returnees”.

Participants are expected to share personal experiences of returning to Croatia and discuss ways institutions can make the process easier, while also presenting entrepreneurial and professional initiatives launched by returnees.

Organisers say the goal is to reinforce a sense of belonging among young returnees and encourage them to maintain ties with Croatia while contributing international experience to the country’s social and economic development.

State Secretary at the Ministry of Demography and Immigration Mladen Barać is among the confirmed participants. The programme will also include informal networking and musical performances.

The initiative is co-financed by the Ministry of Demography and Immigration.
