Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Compared with the corresponding period of 2022, the industrial production in Montenegro increased by 7.4 percent in the fourth quarter.

“Compared with the fourth quarter of 2022, the mining and quarrying industry and the processing industry increased by eight percent and four percent respectively, while the electricity and gas supply and air conditioning sector grew by 11.5 percent,” stated a press release issued by Monstat.

Compared with Q3 2023, the industrial production saw a 21 percent increase in last year’s fourth quarter.

“In this period, the mining and quarrying sector saw a year-on-year decrease of 6.9 percent,  while the processing industry and the electricity and gas supply and air conditioning sector grew by ten percent and 48.1 percent respectively,” stated the press release.
