Wine of Montenegro aims to boost country’s wine tourism

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Wine of Montenegro project, which has developed an online platform and a guide connecting winemakers and tourism professionals, aims to enhance Montenegro’s wine tourism.

The Wine of Montenegro project, funded by the European Union (EU) with the goal of supporting the development of Montenegrin wine tourism was presented at the Europe House on Monday.

It was stated on this occasion that wine tourism in Montenegro was still in its infancy, but the potential it offers was vast.

Currently, only a few Montenegrin wineries offer traditional tourism products, while wine tourism generates nearly half of total revenues for the leading wine brands in the world’s most developed wine regions.

The growing popularity of wine tourism proves its potential and the increasing demand for authentic experiences.

The Wine of Montenegro platform is a digital tool designed to promote the local wine industry, Montenegrin wineries, wine tours, and Montenegro’s overall wine and culinary and offerings.
