The Iasi City Hall will organize in the next period the 32nd edition of the generic Iasi Celebrations, an overarching banner for several events that also mark this year the 615th anniversary of the first recorded mention of the municipality. Gheorghe Zamfir, Elena Mosuc, Eugen Doga, Gabriel Croitoru and the famous Iasi Three Tenors are invited to concert on this occasion.
The celebration of Saint Pious Parascheva on October 14, organized by the Metropolitanate of Moldavia and Bucovina, is complemented by a series of events organized by the municipality to give the entire city a festive appeal.
Thus, the Iasi City Hall organizes between October 7 and 15 the Autumn Fair, with 37 craft and hand-made art wooden stalls placed along the boulevard and the pedestrian street Stefan cel Mare si Sfant.
69 merchants exhibit their products at the Fur and Leather Clothing Fair organized on the Costache Negri Esplanade, while the Wine Festival will take place on the Central Hall Esplanade.
As part of the Iasi Celebrations, the municipality will offer hot tea to the pilgrims who stand in line to worship the relics of St. Pious Parascheva, and on the saint’s feast day, on October 14, it will organize a meal for the pilgrims.
The Assets Evening, an event for the award of local personalities, will conclude the day.
This year too, the municipality announced that it will organize a series of events in the neighborhoods, with children’s choirs, artistic ensembles, young folklore artists.
“The traditional concert that wraps up the Iasi Celebrations will take place on Sunday, October 15, from 19:00 p.m., in the Culture Palace Square, culminating in a fireworks show.
