Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – There were 38,730 unemployed people in Montenegro at the end of July, nearly four percent fewer than in June.
According to a monthly report by the Employment Office, the unemployment rate decreased from 17.37 percent to 16.69 percent in this period.
The highest unemployment rate reached 32.7 percent in July 2000, while the lowest one, at 10.1 percent, was recorded in August 2009.
Since the beginning of the year, the Employment Office has registered 10,020 newly employed workers.
A total of 19,370 vacancies have been advertised in that period.
