There were 37,650 unemployed people in Montenegro at the end of September, 1.2 percent fewer than in August.

According to a monthly report by the Employment Office, the unemployment rate decreased from 16.43 percent to 16.23 percent in this period.

The highest unemployment rate reached 32.7 percent in July 2000, while the lowest one, at 10.1 percent, was recorded in August 2009.

Since the beginning of the year, the Employment Office has registered 12,550 newly employed workers.

A total of 22,600 vacancies have been advertised in that period.
