TIRANA, September 25/ATA/ Tirana International Airport (TIA) has set a new record, exceeding 8 million passengers from January 1 to September 21, 2024.
TIA wrote in the social media that there continues to be a significant increase in passenger traffic.
In 2023, TIA had 7.25 million passengers.
“Special thanks go to our passengers for their patience and understanding with any delays that may have occurred during their journeys. It is important to note that although we didn’t have any control over the busy air traffic globally during the summer, a challenge faced by airports and airlines around the world, TIA staff have worked diligently to ensure that all ground service processes were completed on time”, emphasized TIA.
TIA also expressed gratitude to Alb control, the Civil Aviation Authority and other relevant government actors.
“Together, we are constantly improving to meet the needs of passengers and airlines,” TIA wrote.
The “Mother Teresa” international airport, in Rinas, is already the airport with the highest flow of passengers in the region, thanks to the new lines and especially the opportunities for connections to places that were not easy and accessible before
