Italian Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani on Wednesday said “we are working for a ceasefire in Lebanon and in Gaza.
“This is the priority of Italy and of the G7”, he noted.
Tajani said he had spoken at length about the issue on Tuesday with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araqchi, “to try and convince him to give us a hand by putting pressure on Hezbollah so they will stop the attacks against Israel”.
The deputy premier and foreign minister also said “we will talk with Israel in order for an attack by land in Lebanon not to be considered.
“It is certainly necessary to create a new land border, as has been done for the maritime border, between Israel and Lebanon”, he added
