The Assembly of Kosovo with 97 votes in favor approved the resolution condemning the terrorist attack on the Kosova Police on September 24 in Banjska, Zveçan, where police sergeant Afrim Bunjaku was killed.
After the coordination between the position and the opposition, the text of the resolution was presented by the Speaker of the Assembly, Glauk Konjufca, where, among other things, the international factor is required to confront Serbia with its role in relation to the organization and support it has given to this group.
Support is offered to the Kosova Police for the exercise of its duties in the entire territory of Kosovo.
The Government of Kosovo is also called upon to work with international allies, as well as the need for an international investigation against Serbia regarding the organization of terrorist activities.
“Based on the security situation that the country is experiencing after the terrorist attack organized by the Republic of Serbia against the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Kosovo, assessing the importance of preserving and protecting the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Kosovo as well as the determination and commitment our state to contribute to peace and stability in the region, determined for the Republic of Kosovo to be a free and democratic country and the homeland of its citizens who are guaranteed rights, freedoms and equality before the law. Committed to fighting and preventing with constitutional and legal means any action and effort that violates, endangers and attacks the constitutional order of Kosovo, the Assembly of Kosovo condemns in the strongest terms the terrorist attack on the Kosova Police on September 24, 2023, and asks the international factor to exert its influence to confront Serbia with its role in relation to the organization and any kind of support it has given to the terrorist group for the attack in the north of the Republic of Kosovo. It appreciates the work and commitment of the extraordinary results of the security institutions of Kosovo and the security partner institutions EULEX and KFOR to repel and destroy the terrorist attacks organized by Serbia”, said Konjufca.
This resolution also emphasizes the need for political pluralism in the Serbian community in Kosovo.

– Based on the security situation that the country is going through after the terrorist attack organized by the Republic of Serbia against the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosovo;
– Appreciating the importance of preserving and protecting the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosovo as well as the determination and state commitment to contribute to peace and stability in the region;
– Determined that the Republic of Kosovo be a free, democratic, peace-loving country and the homeland of its citizens, who are guaranteed rights, freedoms and equality before the law;
– Committed to fighting and preventing with constitutional and legal means any action and attempt to violate, endanger or attack the constitutional order of the Republic of Kosovo;

- CONDEMNS in the strongest terms the terrorist attack organized by the Republic of Serbia on the Kosova Police on September 24, 2023, as well as requests the international factor to exert its influence to confront Serbia with its role in relation to the organization and any kind of support he gave to the terrorist group for the attack in the north of the Republic of Kosovo;
- APPRECIATES the work, commitment and extraordinary results of the security institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and the international partner institutions of security (EULEX and KFOR), in the joint action to repel and destroy the terrorist attacks organized by Serbia in the north of the country;
- OFFERS full and unreserved support to the Kosova Police in exercising responsibility for maintaining order and public safety in the entire territory of the Republic of Kosovo.
- DEMANDS from all institutions of the Republic of Kosovo to continue the joint work for full integration and coexistence between all communities without distinction living in the Republic of Kosovo;
- ENCOURAGES and SUPPORTS political pluralism in the ranks of the Serbian community in Kosovo, the development of which enables democratic progress and increases transparency and accountability to this community and promotes the promotion of its real interests in the Republic of Kosovo.
- REQUESTS the Government of the Republic of Kosovo to cooperate with international allies, especially the USA, to strengthen the Rule of Law and common Euro-Atlantic values;
- STATES the need for an international investigation against the Republic of Serbia regarding the organization of terrorist activities and the continued existence of training camps of terrorist groups on the territory of Serbia.
