Saraqini: A great achievement for Kosovo to organize two European handball championships

Kosovo, namely the Kosovo Handball Federation has won the right to organize two European Championships this year.

During July and August, Kosovo will organize the U20 European Handball Championship as well as the one for the U18 age group.

The head of the Handball Federation, Eugen Saraqini, emphasized that the European Handball Federation has entrusted this organization to Kosovo, thus giving signals for a strong cooperation between these two sports institutions.

“The Kosovo Handball Federation, namely Kosovo will host two European championships this year. The first will be the U20 European Championship which will start from 13 to 21 July this year, and the U18 European Championship which will start from 12 to 18 August this year. This decision was taken by the Executive Committee of the European Handball Federation on the 29th of this month”, said Saraqini.

The head of the KHF added that this is considered one of the biggest achievements in terms of organization, but that this will also serve to increase the experience of these two national teams that will face European teams.

A total of 20 countries will participate in both these championships in Kosovo.

Beyond that, Saraqini has stated that in the future the Handball Federation intends to organize European championships of the highest level.
