Romania will be the host of the next World Junior Swimming Championships, according to an announcement made Sunday evening on Facebook by the Romanian Swimming and Modern Pentathlon Federation.

“Here is an excellent news for the Romanian sports in 2025, the Romanian Swimming and Modern Pentathlon Federation will organize the World Junior Swimming Championships, according to an announcement made today by the World Aquatics,” reads the post of the Federation.

The competition will take place in Otopeni, at the National Swimming Complex, between August 19 and 24, with more than 600 athletes from more than 100 countries being expected to participate.
