Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (EKIP), six thousand subscribers, mostly in mobile telephony, used the number portability service in the first half of this year.
EKIP told Mina-business agency that, from January to the end of June, 306 numbers had been ported in the fixed network, while 5,700 numbers had been ported in the mobile network.
“In the landline telephony segment, 251 numbers were ported to M:tel, 38 to Telemach, 14 to Crnogorski Telekom, and three to One,” said EKIP.
Crnogorski Telekom lost the largest number of landline users, 278 of them, followed by Telemach and M:tel, which lost 14 users each.
In the mobile telephony segment, a total of 5,700 numbers were ported to M:tel in the first six months, while 3,490 were ported to M:tel, 1,160 to Crnogorski Telekom, and 1,060 to One.
A total of 3,100 users left One mobile network, while the networks operated by Crnogorski Telekom and M:tel lost 1,730 and 874 users respectively,” stated a press release issued by EKIP.
The number portability service has been available since 1 December 2011, and a total of 85,300 numbers have been ported so far, including 16,610 in fixed and 68,690 in mobile networks.
