Podgorica, (MINA) – The year ending was successful for Montenegro’s European path, said EU Ambassador to Montenegro Johann Sattler, expressing hope that Tuesday would be a successful day at the Intergovernmental Conference in Brussels.

“There is a lot of work ahead, don’t slow down, that’s my message”, said Sattler in the morning program of Television of Montenegro.

Montenegro is expected to close five negotiating chapters at the Intergovernmental Conference on Tuesday.

Speaking about the referendum in Zeta, Sattler said he was pleased that people were discussing the wastewater treatment plant and environmental challenges.

“Perhaps it should have been done earlier, but it is good that it is happening. It is important that we listen to each other. I want to listen to the citizens, that is very important. The citizens of Botun have not been heard for a long time”, said Sattler, RTCG reports.

He stated that the problem of red mud basin is also being addressed, recalling that over EUR 30 million have been allocated for the resolution of this issue.
